Pine Street Veterans Housing
Background
The Town has been focused over the past years at improving affordable housing for current and new residents of the community. This also includes a focus on improving housing options for seniors (55+ year older) as well as veterans. The Town is now in the process of creating a new affordable housing development that will be focused on veterans.

Project Details
The acquisition, approved by community at the 2023 Annual Town Meeting, allows the Town to combine this property along with the adjacent Town-owned property at 10 New Ocean Street which is the current home of VFW Post 1240. The Town is focused on supporting those who have dedicated their lives to the serve the country and therefore is looking to create a new model for veteran support and recognition.
The Town's Request for Proposals (RFP) closed on September 25, 2023. The submitted responses are currently being reviewed.
