View of the exterior of Blythswood, c. 1917, when the Henry W. Proctor family was in residence. Descendants of the Proctor family still reside in the home. This beautiful property is protected by the Conservation Commission.
In 1904, a local summer newspaper described the gardens at Blythswood as a "bewildering mass of bloom." Arthur Little designed the garden while he lived at the home. This view of the garden at Blythswood was photographed around 1917 when Henry W. Proctor owned the home. Elaborate trellises with lattice work are visible.
