The Swampscott Public Schools invites sealed bids for the Stanley School Exhaust at 10 Whitman Road, Swampscott, Massachusetts in accordance with Contract Documents prepared by Lavallee Brensinger Architects, Boston, MA.
General Project Description: The work of this Contract includes new ventilation systems for eight classrooms and the library including selective demolition and new upgrades as indicated on the drawings.
Bidding procedures and award of Contract and Subcontracts are subject to the provisions of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (MGL) including but not limited to c.149, §44A to §44J inclusive; applicable sections of MGL c.30. FILED SUB-BIDS ARE NOT REQUIRED, based on the estimated Scope of Work.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than the prevailing wage rates as set forth in the Contract Documents shall be paid on this Project. Attention is also called to the requirements relating to worker’s compensation and conditions of employment. The minimum wages to be paid mechanics, apprentices, teamsters, chauffeurs, and laborers on the Project shall be established by the Minimum Wage Schedule, as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, pursuant to the provisions of MGL c.149, §25 to §27D, inclusive, as amended, which schedule is included in the Contract Documents.

Pre-Bid Conference:
A pre-bid conference will be held on January 20, 2021 at 2:30pm local time at the Stanley School, 10 Whitman Road, Swampscott, MA. All bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. The Owner requests, but does not require, interested bidders to contact Lisa Pecora to pre-register with the number of attendees planning to attend the conference.
