Composting at the Senior Center
The Swampscott Senior Center now is one of the free composting sites/locations in town for residents! Seniors can bring the compost that they collect at home to the Senior Center - when the Senior Center is open - for disposal. By locating a public composting bin at the Senior Center, this convenient location will make composting more accessible to all ages.

Countertop Bin Liner Exchange Program at the Senior Center:
Bring your countertop composting waste to the Senior Center for disposal and we will give you a new bin liner for your countertop bin to take home with you! Our hope is to make composting as easy and accessible for our members as possible.
The composting bin at the Senior Center is located near the back entrance of the Senior Center. Members may dispose of their compost directly into this bin when the Senior Center is open or they can come to the front desk for assistance.
